Got a heater fan? Post your pictures, findings etc. here. But don't create a new thread about a heater outside of this one. The heater I'm using right now is a heater made by Titan. Not sure if that means much, but it generates enough heat to heat a corner of a room. I use a desk fan to push the heat around. The desk fan doesn't do much in the way of circulating the hot air, and the tiny little fan in the back of this heater is weak. Of course, I do have the heat setting on high because the room will warm up five degrees in two hours on that setting. After winter break I'll bring my Lakewood box fan once I get it cleaned up and oiled and use that to draw the heat through itself rather than force it from behind. But I use this every night at 10 PM and the temp goes from 69-70 degrees to roughly 75 degrees at midnight. Then I'll run it again in the morning before I go to class. This thing smells a little like burning dust and decomp when first turned on…after the smell disappears (with a little help from Oust or Lysol sprayed into the air). I'm at least thankful I have heat since the dorm building HVAC heat boiler isn't turned on (with lows in the mid 40s you'd wonder what the &^%$ was taking them so long). Many upperclassmen tell me the heat NEVER works in the dorms…sigh. I might buy a used heater like from Vornado or something. Can't go wrong.

Some of my friends in the dorm (like me- illegally) have bigger heaters than what I've got and they aren't popping the breaker or the surge protector they've got it plugged into..

I have some antique heaters and heater fans but I only have one pic of one of mine. This is a Vornado heater fan. I love the retro pink color on this one.

I use a small Patton in the garage sometimes, and I have a little antique Sterling with the original tag on the cord.
One of my favorite heater fans is the Fresh'nd Aire Heaterette(Spelling?). I had access to one in great condition a couple years ago but at the time I didn't realize how much I'd want one just a few years later.

I love Vornado's vintage heater fans. Cole, I would've loved to see that Sterling. I cleaned out the little heater I'm using in my dorm. I was going to take pictures of the tear down, but this thing is so tightly packed, I wouldn't be able to get much. The friend who is lending it to me doesn't understand the concept of canned or compressed air, and she smokes (you can imagine the nauseating smell whilst blowing this thing out). The heater coils are what you see exposed up front. Dust was jam packed behind it, hampering airflow (and risking fire). Heats much better, and airflow is much better.

I'll get a pic of the Sterling for you. Usually I find those old heaters rusted out and don't have much interest in them, but this one is in great condition and was only like $2. I've never tested it...

Ah. A heat dish. Hook up some cable and you'll be getting HBO. Not bad actually. I've never seen a vintage heat dish.
