Lets not forget those lockers would be rusted by now. If the building has been abandoned for 30 years, power must have been running all this time, and a maintenance crew. But who would spend all this money for a building not in use? seeing how we're on this subject, Funny this is I remember an old abandoned house in the middle of the woods, and was abandoned for many years as mold and green was growing inside, windows broken all doors open, refrigerator doors open with years worth of rotten food left with zillions of bugs and roaches, but for some reason the power was still hooked up. Still trying to figure that one out..

Still trying to figure that one out.. Keep in mind, the speed of decay depends on a number of factors, all relating to moisture: A.) The roof. If a building received a new roof prior to its abandonment, roof leaks will take far longer to develop, as most new roofs last 15-30 years. Roof leaks in a wood-floored building will eventually lead to incredibly gnarley floor collapses such as these lovely minefields.. This, THIS is what 30-40 years REALLY looks like... B.) Windows. If a window is broken, left open or missing entirely, decay will be accelerated as an open window allows far more moisture to enter the structure. C.) Heat. Typically when a building is closed, the heat is one of the first things to be shut off. Lead-based paint, common in older buildings, is reactive to stark temperature changes and moisture. This causes the paint to peel and flake off.
