And nice Westinghouse, Andrew. Cord looks to be in rough shape, but that's an easy replacement. Does it work?

I think the correct question to ask here would be "Does it not work?". You simply can't kill these things. Many of these antique fans have been run into the ground and are still going strong.

my recent finds were a 18 inch hampton bay high velocity fan, a 12 inch five bladed lasko box fan, and a 12 inch blue galaxy oscillator

well my find yesterday a 12inch Samsung fan, 1986, made in south korea, and bought in southkorea buy a guy off craigs list it has alot of asain wriiting on it it has coversation kit, with the the adapter for the plug, cost 5 bucks

Just got this at a garage sale last weekend for two bucks : It's a Lakewood 1200. It's in very good condition, and it runs great. See the 'Awesome Garage Sale Score' thread for more info.
