If anyone puts light kits on their fans, what are your favorites? Mines are the Five light. Four little lights and a big one in the center with the arms bent or loop ones. I do enjoy spotlights as well. And some of the bowl lights are cute too. The onlys I dislike personally is the schoolhouse light because it makes the fan look dull and I like something fancy on the fan. That's just my opinion though.

I like basic 4 light kits where the arms point downward, like the Nutone in Dan's Collection Gallery. Sometimes I like the 5 light equivalent, like the Thomas Fasco in the same gallery. I like the old Casablanca integrated light kits (my Columbia, etc). Lastly, some fans look good with a simple schoolhouse globe.

Yeah me too. And as the Schoolhouse light I know the Emperor Fans will look good those and so does the spinner fans as well. And this cute 5 light alabaster from emerson that so adorable. I like those and the ones from West Wind as well.

Some of my favorite light kits are the Casablanca Halogen Star style light kits. I like that type of contemporary style in a ceiling fan. I'm also partial to schoolhouse globes, because they look decent and are easy to come by.

Well, I do like the four light cluster kits those are very nice. But those I really like is the five light trumpet arm with opal glass and the five lights with frosted bell glass and the one with beaded glass. Those give the fans a very classic touch.

Interesting, Louis, with the Saturn lights. Very 80s modern. They look very cool on the right fan.

It's ironic, I coincidentally had to look for some light kits last night. I thought I had several boxes of them, and I probably do, but I cant find hardly any of them now. Most of the ones I can find are the modern straight-arm, like they still sell today. I dont care for those. I like the loop arms, or the bent arms that point downward. What I really need are more light kits like this one, preferably antique brass:

I will add, this is quite possibly the coolest (non-Casablanca?) 5 light kit I've ever seen: I would love to find one for one of my Taras.

That Tara definitely needs some TLC. In its current state it looks like it belongs in one of those "disaster kitchen" zonks from Let's Make A Deal. It does however have a cool light kit.
The big round globes are also good for the plastic Emersons (in fact they are drawn this way in a couple of episodes of Beavis and Butt-Head and I think King of the Hill, both of which were created by Mike Judge). His more "realistic" looking ceiling fans are VERY obviously Emerson friction drives with the brass accents.

I've seen those friction drive cartoons! He must have had one of those hanging somewhere. Classic 70s look-- friction drive with brass accents and a round globe.
That Tara picture is the "before", the "after" shots are now up on the Tara Quest Gallery (ornate/ab page).

Yes a stained glass lamp on a brown fan is a very classic 70s look.
