David, if you're tired of retyping everything onto here just copy and paste it onto here from DT. That's what I do if I have a long post or thread. (No offense to anybody on here)

I was just tired of seeing the same comments on the 2 forums, but it's ok, i'll live with that

I like the SMC! I tried to buy one of those mini fans off of eBay last year, but the bidding got way out of hand and the price went way out of my range... But yeah, definitely still post your pics on here. I usually check this forum first, so I'd probably put a more substantial comment on here...

Thanks David, really appreciate the effort to work around the unfortunate separation of the forums. I usually come on here first as well, you'll usually get my replies here. If you don't get replies on DT I usually post a different version of what I posted here to bump the thread.

We had a slightly different version of the SMC here in the US called the Carousel II. We also had a white/polished brass as well as a polished brass only version called the Bridgeton.

Yeah, but they were from hapton bay.
I have to mention that the pull chains are not original. i think it came with the oreo style pull chains.
Ok, so don't worry, i will continue my thread in both forums,

We had a slightly different version of the SMC here in the US called the Carousel II. We also had a white/polished brass as well as a polished brass only version called the Bridgeton. Yep, the Carousel II was basically a Hampton Bay San Marino painted in white with multi-color blades. I think it even came with an additional set of blades that were white/bleached oak for when the kid "grew out" of the multi-color theme. Looks like that's what SMC did with the Windsor David got; maybe it was a special package they offered specifically for kids rooms. The Bridgeton (at least the pre-2001 models) were pretty much identical to the SMC Windsors offered elsewhere; the '99 Home Depot catalog even shows the SMC oreo pull chains in the picture of the Bridgeton. The design was changed a bit in 2001, but the basic idea was the same...
