19th, The CEC I changed the pull chain for the speeds and the one for the light. Now it's perfect. I love it David! The light kit isn't perfect, however it actually doesn't look bad at all. 20th 1989 Canarm. The fan was very yellowed, but it turned out beautifully after a good cleaning How I got it How I sold it Was it actually labelled Canarm? 1995 Canarm Nothing unusual about this fan Did it say the model name anywhere?

Max, even if the light kit is not perfect, it was the original one. I might have a tree arms one somewhere...
I always refer these fans as canarm, judging by the sticker on the switch housing
I forgot to check for a model name, I will try to find out more about that next week !

Max, even if the light kit is not perfect, it was the original one. I might have a tree arms one somewhere... Fair enough. Either way I love the fan. The best type of light kit for these spinners is usually a single fitter with a schoolhouse globe. I always refer these fans as Canarm, judging by the sticker on the switch housing Canarm did sell a 42" bottom-mounted spinner around that time. Regardless of the brand it was sold under, the fan was made by Air Cool. I forgot to check for a model name, I will try to find out more about that next week ! Not a problem

That brown spinner certainly did not came with this light. It came with no light. I'm still not able to change a speed pull chain. I wish you could help me with my Banvil.
The last one seems like a rare model of Canarm.

Does yours have a dual-layer pull chain switch? The last one seems like a rare model of Canarm. Home Styles might be another possibility come to think of it.

Yes it's one of those Banvil from the early to mid 1980's that the off is done with the reverse pull chain.

Yes it's one of those Banvil from the early to mid 1980's that the off is done with the reverse pull chain. I have two of those. Cool fans. Even after looking at the wiring inside the switch housing, I still can't figure out how it works. The best thing do do would be to fins another identical fan and take the pull chain out of that. Or, rewire it completely.

Jean, I know the fan didn't came with a light kit. It's not a perfect fit for the fan but it's good enough. Actually for this spinner, I found a pull chain that was exactly the same as the original one, so it was an easy change.

I went to another reno-depot store Nothing too special Also went to another Canadian tire This one was my favorite !!! everything was so well organised Almost every fans were on. Neat install, I liked it. *You can see the gold lines on the ceiling of the store They had the flat blades one in the gardening centre *Pay attention to the mounting. 22nd, 1989 beige/cream NADAIR DESIGNER with matching light kit. fan had a bad capacitor, working only on high the motor 23rd, 1985 4 SEASONS VENAIR With uplight (glass cover ) and matching blades, (plastic insert ) I sold the fan the day I putted it in store. How I got it, yes with this light shade lol

Wow, very nice Canadian Tire display. Flat and most of the fans spinning like in the old days. What location is this?
It's interesting how they got an extra ball and socket canopy and mounting for installing this Gold Line on a vaulted ceiling.
The shape of the motor in that Nadair Designer is unusual, I would not have expected that.
Very cool 4 Saisons! It's not a common model at all. Very nice chunky rounded switch housing.

Jean, Located in lasalle
actually they had 6 gold line in the garden centre, all on non-original mounting
I too, was suprised by the shape of the motor,
4 seasons was 4/5 blades, and the most powerful fan I had in a long time. it was perfect

Humm I imagine so. It's made the same way as my 4 Saisons Victorian of the same size and this fan performs very silently and is very powerful.
