It's very cool to see these Canadian Tire images of 2000 again. The canopy of the Mystic is very odd indeed. It does look like a SMC canopy.
That's a cute late 1980's Windmere you got there. The grill looks very spaced, usually they don't have this type of grill.
It's funny to see this Heritage version of the Canarm Catalyst. The switch housing and light kit is bigger and the canopy is different.

The Nadair is a rebranded lasko Look over the pull switch. there is a nadair logo.
Jean, I am sure it was a SMC canopy, I've never seen an actual Mystic with that type of canopy For me, the Heritage is an out of proportion version of the real catalyst

Max, for the Mystic in the catalog, I am sure they used the same canopy as the SMC Windsor, and it's quite odd. That would make sense. I guess somebody got lazy while taking pictures The false Catalyst was very cheap I'll bet!

following with last post, Here are the old fans in their new habitat *as I said, they remain in the same spot they were before. For the other half of the store The fans before demo day On demo day They had to be remove because fluorescents lights will be install in their place They were moved 3 feets on the left Here are the fans, Actually they are 1994 CANARM tempest Wh ...One of them had it's light holder broken ...yep with electrical tape Back fan, white plaster spot is where the fan was before Front fan, also moved to the left The wire is in the middle of where the fan was before I went to my local Canadian-tire whis weekend, They had new fans from Noma (never knew they were into fans) And this Hugger, previously made by smc, airworks, likewise etc. is now under the Canarm Brand

I'm glad the Canarm Tempest are kept. I see what you mean now when you said they have a square motor.
I had seen portable fans from Noma at Canadian Tire before but never ceiling fans. The Miles model is usually a Canarm Modern but they changed the blade finish.
I like the Schoolhouse and the Loen. It looks a lot lot an Australian fan.
Ah it's funny to see this SMC in a Canarm box.

Jean, I thought the tempest would be thrown away and replaced, but the store did not have the money for that. They are still functionnal and in good shape, I remember saying they had a square motor. I might another picture of that motor somewhere...
The only thing that I don't like about the fans Canadian tire sold is their price. come on, 150$ for a simple hugger that would sold for 50$ anywhere else.
I never understood why Canarm never had the Mystic in their catalog Is it because it is an exclusivity for Canadian Tire ?
Farah, thanks ! I like it too, it was a powerful fan

I would like to see a closeup of the motor of Canarm Tempest motor. I'm glad they kept those fans.
Yes it seems that the Mystic is really exclusive to Canadian Tire. They must have a special deal together for that model. It's been around for almost 19 years now. Wow!

Jordan, same thing for the Hugger in the last picture, On the market since 1995

I went to my local Canadian-tire this weekend, They had new fans from Noma (never knew they were into fans) And this Hugger, previously made by SMC, Airworks, Likewise etc. is now under the Canarm Brand I saw the exact same Noma fans when I went to Canadian Tire to buy a can of spray paint last week. The I know "Schoolhouse" is made by Zhongshan Wei He Electrical Appliance Company Limited (E200995). I don't know about the others though. That's very odd about the hugger. I wonder if it's now made by Hopeful Electrical Company as with most other Canarm models? I'm glad the Canarm Tempest are kept. I see what you mean now when you said they have a square motor. Ah, so they must be early PowerMax-made models. I had seen portable fans from Noma at Canadian Tire before but never ceiling fans. The Miles model is usually a Canarm Modern but they changed the blade finish. I'd be curious if it actually is a Canarm Modern, except sold under a different name. I like the Schoolhouse and the Loen. It looks a lot lot an Australian fan. Although the Schoolhouse doesn't look too bad for a new economy fan, $149.99 without a remote control or even included light bulbs is ridiculous! I'll bet it doesn't even cost Canadian Tire $14.99 to buy it from the manufacturer! The Leon is quite nice though, and also reasonably priced. Ah it's funny to see this SMC in a Canarm box. I highly doubt it would be SMC, since Canadian Tire hasn't used to make any of their fans since 2006 (at least, as far as I know). The previous Likewise version of the Hugger was made by Zhongshan Wei He Electrical Appliance Company Limited.
