Does anyone happen to have an LCA for general application? I'd actually be glad to two; one white, and one brass. Basically, I need spare parts for when I finally get the money to invest in a Ventura for my bedroom. Thanks, Tim

There were a few bronze ones on Ebay you could paint white (I got one), but they're gone now. Both of mine are in use now, so I can't help you.

I can post the ones of my Artisan, the Lady Delta one is concealed in the drop ceiling and it's hard to take the fan down. It's really very simple. You can't see them very well, but there are deep recessed holes that will fit any junction box. You screw those babies tight, lift the fan in, make sure it's facing the direction you want (I always have the tag on the switch housing facing the entrance to the room, or where it will be seen the most ) and make sure the tab is in one of the locking spaces. Then you just snap in the hatch. When you get the Ventura though, I'd really just buy an LCA with it to ensure finish match as well as matching condition (and that not many here will have any LCA's they want to give up). I believe the newer LCA's are a bit different, but there'd be directions with it.

Cole S. S. Thanks man! My only problem is that a new LCA is like $80, that's the same as four brand-new Harbor Breeze Armitages! I'm not just looking for one to fit a Ventura, either. In fact, I'd much rather have a Zephyr in my room, but they're probably too large for my room.

No fan is ever too large. Seriously, I've installed 56" industrials in my bedroom, and a 36" fan in the garage by itself, when you're a fan collector size doesn't matter when it comes to what you want installed.

Cole S. S. No, I'm talking ceiling clearence. I live in the upstairs of a dormed Cape Cod home, the ceiling/walls slant into a half-octogon shape You know how many times I've hit my head on the roof? Many times, my friend, MANY times…

Ah, that makes a difference. But who knows? I might just try anyway.

You can put shorter 17" blades on a Zephyr or other Casa to make the fan 42". You could also cut off the ends of the longer blades, but I don't recommend it unless you're a good woodworker.

Personally, I wouldn't go either route. I like the look of a chunky housing with short blades, but it's not the kind of fan I'd want in my room. I'm a decent woodworker, but I wouldn't risk it. Like I said, if I ever get a Zephyr and it doesn't fit, I'll simply try another fan. Thanks for the suggestions, though. It's great to see someone my age posting.
