Finally! Pictures! Garage: New Fan Industrial (I added this myself. There was no fixture here originally. Controlled by a 3-speed wall control.) Sunroom: 2x Monte Carlo Outdoor Fans (These will be replaced soon. I already have the replacement fans but they need some work.) Back porch: 2010 Hunter Deluxe Original (Hate the blades all you want, but they match our furniture out there.) Laundry room: Minka Aire Supra (Will be replaced eventually because one of the cabinets hits the blades when opened.) Living room: Casablanca Panama II (It's not IT, it's a 4-speed fan controlled by a 3-speed wall control and a separate switch for the light. The light kit doesn't match the fan, so I hope to get a matching KG1N eventually. Sister's room: Harbor Breeze Bella Vista (This won't be replaced because it literally gets used once a year. I'm not even kidding.) Other sister's room: Hunter Frankenfan (Passport II parts with Passport I motor, downrod, switch cap, and electronics) (Yes, those are Frozen pull chains.) Master bedroom: Hampton Bay Farmington with homemade light kit made from a chandelier (It's remote controlled, that's why I installed it with no pull chains.) Brother's room: Hampton Bay Sinclair (How this got here is a long story. Also remote controlled.) My bedroom: Casablanca Delta I (May be temporarily replaced soon for service) And just so you can have an idea of the progress replacing/adding fans, here's what was installed when we moved in: Garage: nothing Sunroom: (Same fans that are there now) Back porch: nothing Laundry room: (Same fan that's there now) Living room: Emerson Castilla stuck on low reverse Sister's room: (Same fan that's there now) Other sister's room: Monte Carlo Builder Fan with bowl light kit Master Bedroom: Craftmade Cameo Series Brother's room: Minka Aire Supra with spotlight kit (now installed at my aunt's house) My bedroom: Same fan as what was originally in my brother's room. I installed this one in our old house when we moved out and I REALLY regret it.)

There is only two fans in my house. One in my room and one on the porch. The one in my room is a Ritz Ceiling Heat Fan The other one is some crappy outdoor ceiling fan that I really want to replace. At my grandmothers: A 1998 Encon Vintage is in her kitchen that I put up for her on Thanksgiving. This Encon replaced one of the crappiest Hampton Bays I have ever touched. Its actually a pretty good fan. In her bedroom is a 90's Hampton Bay? I am not sure but it looks a lot like my raleigh plus but with rounded blades. She used to have a pb gev fan in her hallway that I used to be deathly afraid of. I have an old picture of it and it almost looks like a Casa Zephyr. It was removed along time ago unfortunately Here is the picture of it. Why were you deathly afraid of the fan?

You'd be surprised how many fan collectors were freaked out by certain fans when they were younger.. I think it was on the other forum, but somewhere there was an entire thread about it.. Its been a while since I read it, but if I recall correctly it was mostly portable fans people were scared by.. I'd be fascinated to know the psychology behind that..
Edit: Here is said thread

Edit: Here is said threadYou know I never really thought about it, but this reminds me of when I was younger, loud exhaust fans used to scare me. It was really only because of the noise though. Other than that I can't recall ever being scared of a fan. Were you ever scared of a fan?

I do have vague memories of certain fans that I really didn't like to be around when running, like my grandfather's whole house fan and his vintage GE box fan, which is now in my possession and ironically one of my favorite fans..

I could never really put my finger on why though. My grandfather either had a vintage box fan, I loved it though I didn't mind being around it when it was on. I forget what kind exactly and if he even still has it or not.

It was that and the darkness behind it just seemed eerie. I still find it eerie but it doesn't scare me anymore.

When they were off they didn't affect me very much, I just stared at them as I walked by. Sometimes I was nervous it would turn on as I walked by. I never had a dream about them though, that's interesting it didn't hurt, then again they say you can't feel pain in your dreams.

I recall generally not being too bothered by the fans as long as they were off..
That's very interesting about the dreams.. I don't think I've ever felt pain in dreams before when I should have..
