How odd, that thing has a Caribbean Breeze motor in it.. I had a 4 blade version of that Aircool which was labeled with the year 1986.. It never made it to the site and gave it away.. It's not surprising that it doesn't have reverse.. The TAT I find to be quite odd also.. The Ornate A52 has sure seen better days.. The Union virtually really looks no different (On the Outside) than a Moss Hi-Line made by CEC.. Lovethat Emperor, looks to be one of the earlier models..

Oh look, a pile of spinners. 52" View Fan. One of the last cast-iron View Fans. Note the 'Golden Fan'-style motor. 48" Encon CG off Craigslist.. mmm. One of four Nutone Proline IIs from Habicrap. They came with their original 4-speed wall controls. This will probably fly off a building at some point. Only reason I have it is because scrap dumpster. TAT Deluxe with those queer blade irons. First one I've seen with cane. Hampton Bay (Alaska) Patriot. Has a large 188mm motor in it, performs surprisingly well. Now if only it had its glass...

That's the same TAT as the one I have except I think the speed sequence is Low/Med/High.. Looks to be tarnished like mine, but not as bad.. I like that View Fan with the large motor, looks no different than Golden Fan motors.. Like the DB Crompton Greaves...

This TAT actually has a 3/4" downrod.. VERY unusual for TATs. If yours has a different speed sequence, it means it probably had its pullchain replaced.

On this week's episode of 'Backlog'... Chocolate brown Leading Edge Hi-Tech II, REVERSIBLE. Another white Ventura; this time, IT. I'm really beginning to think that my favorite Charlestons are 5-blade Charlestons. Dated September 1990, flywheel is somehow still intact and flexible; and unlike many Fascos, it's SILENT. Oh look, another Patton. Saw a 'curb alart' listing on Craigslist with only a town and street name; so naturally, I drove blind to this place and... Halsey footprint-vent hugger. Delta II. Sadly, the flywheel is on its way out. There was this abomination... And then there was Fanimation... To start, I finally procured a set of blades for the baby Sidewinder. SQ Four Seasons. Unfortunately, the SQ is failing. 42" Hunter Studio Series, c. 1986. These are strangely uncommon. 36" Nutone Slimline in antique brass, non-reversible. I've been wanting one in this configuration for a while. SMC Emperor Flush. This is the ooold chunky version I've also been wanting for a while. Another 48" Original has surfaced. When I got to the fan section at Habitat, the first thing I saw was a stator sitting on one of the boxes; some inbred disassembled the entire thing, losing the stator fasteners in the process; but since the motor is identical to the 42", finding the parts shouldn't be too hard. And now for some crushing disappointment... SMC 60F industrial, February 1974. Motor is cast iron. When I got it, I immediately noticed that the shaft was bent.. I was not informed of this. I've seen bent shafts before, so I figured it was fixable... But then I opened the motor, only to find that the motor shaft was bent INSIDE THE MOTOR, beyond repair, rendering the fan completely inoperable. Once the bearings go off-kilter, it's a brick; there's no fixing a bent motor shaft when it's bent internally... so needless to say, I am very pissed and very disappointed.

Well I see you have a Magic Heat like mine.. Those very neat fans.. Love the Slimline and I love the fact it's not reversible. That early S.M.C. is really neat.. That would be a good restoration project.. The SQ I would first check and re flow solder joints.. I found some that were cracked under the connectors on some SQ boards before.. I did pass up one of those Pattons NIB, kinda kick myself in the ass for not getting it, but not worrying about extra space kinda over looks it..

I really like the original, it's a shame someone dismantled it. I like the looks of that Patton, what's the airflow like on it? I've never seen a ceiling like that Hampton Bay Alaska before. Is it reversible? Based on that blade design, I don't think it would be very effective in reverse.

Very nice Fasco Charleston III. The finish combination is very nice. I thought most of Fascos were silent.
That's really too bad for the Wilcorp SMC 60F. They're awesome fans and a cool piece of history to have.
