Newport, RI Now that I know where they are, next time I'll go, I'll bring my camera. They're in a restaurant, with very large open windows to the sidwalk outside. There's at least 6 hanging in there. Oh, these are 4 bladed, btw.

oh nice! its cool seeing an action shot! They look small on a dark tin ceilings, but cute none the less. I think I've made it my mission to collect everything in that "family" of fans. So far all I have is the Emperor but I think I'll probably add these (in both white and brown) to my wantlist.

Oh yeah, thats right! yours is polished brass if I remember correctly, yeah? Hmm, just had a thought... I'm wondering if it would work to swap the capacitor from my Emperor with the one in the brass Envirofan? I would have to check that they're the same specs but if they are, common logic would indicate that it can be done... yes/no?

Doubtful, as the motors are very different . . . but when I unbury the two spinners for you, the Banvil Emperor I have is actually on top of the pile, so I can check for myself. If it works I'll swap them and charge you the same price for both spinners . . . and part out the Banvil.

Oh ok sweet! If it does work and you do part out the Emperor, let me know and I may buy the blades off of ya. Incase its not a match, you said that the brass only operates on one speed, yeah? I'm thinking that if that speed is high, I may be able to operate the fan from a wall control, perhaps something along the lines of this: I've got the single slider version (just the fan control) so I know that its at stepped slider and not something thats variable speed.

Ah perfect! problem presented, problem solved! lol. Well, thats if the only speed it runs on is high. If not then the switches instructions say its not advisable cause it could screw up the motor.

Do you have any pictures of your fans, Derek? I'd love to see them if you do!

UPDATE: I got my Yuson wired up. I have no place to hang it on the ceiling, so I just used a cord to plug it in and run it on the floor. I'll get pictures and a video soon! It runs great! It is COMPLETELTY SILENT!!!!! It doesn't hum AT ALL! I'm so happy! It moves pretty good air as well. I'm impressed for a 22-year-old fan!
