i decited to make a "yard/garage/estate/goodwill/habitat sales..2009" thread... i went to goodwill earlier today and my first fan find for today, this thread & for 2009 is a 12" lasko oscallitating desk fan(since it was a desk fan NOT CEILING FAN,that's why i start this thread in the "box fans, desk fans window fans" department... no further undo, the picture: i only pay $3.00 for it,it's in good shape, has 3 speeds(works in all 3 speeds)..

Its odd that they are both missing their center. They both looks from the early 90s.

i wouldn't be surprised if both of these fans came from 1 same previous owner before goodwill due to both missing badges.(of course i found them in this condiction, that means i didn't remove anything from the fans or add anything to the fans except just remove the stickers/labls that goodwill people stuck on there.

Quick question: who makes (or made) Tozai fans? It sounds like an Asian company..but I've always found this brand at WalGreens and WalMart...

Good question. I loved them as a kid, because my mom would take us to Walgreens a lot. No clue who made them.

Good question. I loved them as a kid, because my mom would take us to Walgreens a lot. No clue who made them. My aunt has 3 of them she said she purchased from KMart back in the mid 80s. Didn't know the company was that old. So far this is in my collection of desk fans: 6" Tatung w/ blue blades, beige (more like yellow) housing and white plastic grille, two speeds..from my uncle..no manf. date..but it looks late 80s to me 9" (or 12"..is the fan blade span measured or the grille diam?) Tozai 2 speed oscillating..makes a funny noise when oscillating..got this fan when I was 8 or 9, it's about 10 years old now.. ;D 4" Windmere 2 speed..blue with white 5 blade fan..noisy on high, sucks on low Generic Floor/Box fan called "SuperDeluxe" with 3 speeds and a rotating grille assembly 6" Axium car fan, black, powerful and it too oscillates.. Sunbeam floor/box fan with rotating grille..black..with 3 speeds, timer, fan modes..and it jets air almost as good as the Axium fan. ..and a host of handhelds..pics and video coming soon!
