nice sightings! i got one S&P just like the pic u shared, the one i have was manufactured in 2003 if not mistaken, however the blades are missing! I remember you posted a picture in the past of three S&P with thick rounded motors missing the blades but it was not this older small size 1970-1980's model that I posted seen in a restaurant in Barcelona. Maybe you are talking about pictures from April I took in Paris? I dont mean this model which i got 4 pieces of, there is a 5th S&P i got which looks exactly like the 36" one u posted

Here are the sightings for August. All pictures are taken in western Montréal: In a pet shop are a whole bunch of Canarm CP56. They were installed in the mid to late 2000's when the place was renovated. Each photo shows a different fan. Most of them are usually are low. A large supermarket next to it has many of these late 1990's Banvil Bronze Lines. Some have bent blades. Enjoy and comment!

Pretty sure those bottom two are Bronze Lines Lapsus. That's what I though I was writing but it came out as Silver instead of Bronze. Of course they are Bronze Lines.

Unfortunately I don't have any sightings for September. I guess they will not be missed much as they are not many of you that seem to enjoy them. On the other hand I posted a few new sightings in the portable fan section. Happy Thanksgiving weekend.

Here are some sightings for October taken in Montréal. A local hardware store that is closing down after many changes of names in recently years has this beat up Canarm Catalyst IV installed in a room that they seem to use to cut wood. This fan would have been installed around 2008. This same room had a late 1980's SMC Laguna ten year ago. Along with the SMC Laguna, this same hardware store had a very cool mixture of fans before the renovations of 2008. In the general portion of the store was various Canarm of different sizes and generation. There was contemporary CP56 along with a late 1970's Canarm 140 cm and a 120 cm one with a nut just like the one I posted in the thread last summer. There was also a white Golden Fan 140 cm with three straight metal blades and a brown and brass one in 120 cm with four wooden cane blades. A classic that has survived in stores. Not only polished brass but with three pull chains too. Canadian Tire is still selling this all time classic SMC Affleurant. The first generation of the fan came out in the mid to late 1990's. This is the 3rd generation that probably came out in 2002 or 2003. An early 2000's Banvil Bronze Line in a local IGA store. Enjoy!

There was also a white Golden Fan 140 cm with three straight metal blades and a brown and brass one in 120 cm with four wooden cane blades. Its a shame the SMC was replaced, however at least the electrical-work aspect of this install is competent. I recall those posts from last summer A classic that has survived in stores. Not only polished brass but with three pull chains too. Canadian Tire is still selling this all time classic SMC Affleurant. The first generation of the fan came out in the mid to late 1990's. This is the 3rd generation that probably came out in 2002 or 2003. These huggers certainly have quite the history! To give a basic explanation, the earliest 5-blade UB42s sold at Canadian Tire would have come out sometime in 1995. They were revised around 1997, then 2001, 2003, 2005, 2006 (no longer SMC-made), 2008, 2010 and finally 2015 (another switch of manufacturers). It looks as if the fan shown on display is likely the third generation, possibly the forth. If anybody is interested, there is a whole list of (often intricate) changes for these... An early 2000's Banvil Bronze Line in a local IGA store. Enjoy! Oh cool, an "ivory-accented" model Seriously, why are Bronze Lines notorious for yellowing?

It's even more of a shame that I could not get photos of the fans in there before the renovations. What you saw in those photos before was nothing. They are some installation that are much more dangerous and broche à foin.
Contemporary fans gets your attention. I only noted three different version of these fans. The middle generation, being the least common one. I believe it existed only in 2000 and 2001. I though the current ones were still being made by SMC and they sometimes snow up in actual SMC boxes.
This specific version of the Banvil Bronze Line are often yellowed like this. It's not the first one I post that has a yellow bottom.

Here are the last sightings for 2017. More of the Canarm High Performance at my local Home Depot. It was built in 2007. I posted before a picture of one located upstairs on a short pole. Two of these antique brass five cane bladed fans in a creperie in the 6th arrondissement of Paris. Someone knows what they are? That's all for 2017. I hope you enjoyed these sightings. The first half of the year was particularly diverse. Let me know if you want to see more.
