All of the GEV fans are interesting. They are indeed. The second one, I'm really not sure what is it but I love it. Based on the canopy it could be an early Nadair. Earlier Nadairs could look like anything. The third one with the awful install look like a Nadair too. Newer than the 5 bladed 52'' one though. It's got a detachable switch housing.

The 4 Seasons 5 blade GE vent fan would be a Moss Heirloom Deluxe in the USA.. From the same Asian factories, at least the motor and switch housing.... It would be from around 1984-85 possibly late 83.. Those seem to have different motor housings or switch housings for each color or variation. I have antique brass and bright brass models from the same era and the switch housings and motor housings are slightly different from each other.. Even there were many versions of the 4 blade models.. The one pictured (like the one below) looks to be the one with the fat motor housing and fat switch housing and those seem to be not in production very long as those are very rare.. The early 4 blade Heirlooms were coming from the same factories that Ritz were getting their GE Vent fans from, if I'm not mistaken..

In the USA, the closest fans to some 4 Seasons are theses ''Gulf Coast'' fans. They use the same blades, switch housing, canopies and mountings.

Here are some sightings of September and October. A SMC/Super/Airworks hugger 42'' installed outside on a porch. It's very uncommon to see ceiling fans outside around here. At St-Eustache flea market: (sorry for the crappy pics, they were a lot of peoples in there) An old Banvil Red Line 56'' with a terrible install. They were about three like theses installed like that above pipes. It's the 56'' version of the 36'' flat motor Banvil I have. You probably cannot see it but it has a flat motor but the reste of it is made like an early Gold Line. A room had about six of theses white 36'' bottom mounted spinners. Two were off and the others were spinning. They have a filigree sideband with a narrow stepped switch housing. I don't know what brand they are. Et la pièce de résistance... A rare & vintage chrome Enredco 120 cm spinner with cane blades! It's missing the nut and the blades were painted in orange which does not look too terrible with the chrome finish and if you look quick it can almost look like an orangish wood finish. Enredcos are already very rare. Imagine in this finish. It was spinning all slowly at about 40-45 RPM's. Sorry for the crappy picture, it was hard to get that picture and the fluorescent lights behind it does not help. There was also a 1990s white & polished brass 42'' bottom mounted spinner with four stencil blades and a mushroom light kit somewhere but I could not get a picture of it. I believe it was a Canarm.

Cool sightings! ;D Looks like the blades are starting to sag on that SMC hugger...the brass finish seems to be in decent shape though. I wonder if the HVAC system was added after those Banvil industrials were installed...that might explain why they're all mounted right above the ducts. That bottom-mount spinner is quite neat...might be Crest or something like that. That Enredco spinner is super cool! Looks awesome in chrome.

The ducts must have been added later on. Only one Banvil did not had theses underneath them.

Some of you probably remember when I post this picture of a 4 Seasons 48'' a year ago. The picture was taken through a window of a café during the day so it was full of reflections. After a big walk around downtown I went back to this café today and I went in it and drank a tea. When I arrived it turned out that it was closing in 20 minutes but still I've been able to take much better photos. They are still a little blurry, especially the last one because I had to rush at the end and I took the two last ones when I was in the lobby of the café through a little window but luckily there was not too much of reflection because it was after the sun was down and I was still pretty close to the fan. I was lucky the fan was off. I saw it's 5-speed control. It's white, missing the sticker and it's installed horizontally. From what I saw last year it appeared that it had lines on the blades but it turned out that it does not. It's got the same plain blades as the 36'' ivory one I got last December. Still the second picture would be good enough for the galleries hen?

Mm yeah I can see it much better now. I really love the 48", the proportions are spot on but 36" industrials are super cute...

Yes this motor on early 4 Seasons have a similar shape to the ones on the Velox fans but the Velox fans were made in China and probably later on like late 1980s, early 1990s so thier motors are more slim while this 4 Seasons is from about 1980-1981. It's made in Taiwan and it's pretty thick and heavy. The motor on the Velox is basically a later and cheaper version of theses Taiwanese motors. The screw in the middle of the motor also seems different.

They are very well proportionate indeed. I would LOVE the find one. So the second pic is not too blurry? I put it in the galleries.
