First off, Hi there! new to this board..interesting place!
A friend gave me this ceiling fan about a week ago and I was wondering if it was light kit adaptable. So I got to poking around and found you guys/gals!
I dont have a pic of it yet, but could provide one if needed. Any one have any clue if it is adaptable for a light kit, and or any other info would be great! Thanks Brady

Yeah, just remove that little finial on the bottom. That's not original anyhow, someone must have added it. Usually there is a separate lead it may have been removed. You can always add a new one. What colors are the wires coming out of the top of the fan?

Thanks Farah, I like it. We traded up. He wanted a smaller fan with wood tones and we wanted a larger, white one. worked out really well I think. Plus with our house being "older" it works well with our decor.

Yeah, the light wire is missing, presumably by the same guy that added the finial at the bottom. You can add it back or just tap onto the black, depending on how your house is wired.
Nothing special unless you like it, and/or someone else likes it. It's 80s, therefore "vintage", and a brand that many people like . . . but Evergo was cheap imported fans, especially near the end. Better quality than many things made today, but nevertheless nothing out of the ordinary enough to be worth anything.

Three things that make it unique:
1. The green motor. Ritz, Moss, Evergo, and a few other brands used this or a similar color instead of black. Supposed to be an "earth tone".
2. The close-mount canopy. Larger than on most dual-mount fans, common on Palm-Aire, Lasko, and others, rarely seen on Evergo
3. The wooden motor housing (was it originally white or painted white? I've never seen the former). These arent very common, but they're also not very well liked.
