Has anyone ever heard of or do you remember DeLaundrecies(Pronounced: DuhLawn drasees) It was in our local West Acres mall in what is now Herberger's. It was just a memory.
Also, anyone remember Dayton's? They are the ones that got bought out by Marshall Fields. I have fond memories of stopping at their candy counter with my mom when we went shopping at the mall. These two stores were two of the original anchors at our mall.

I know DeLaundrecies had portable fans at one point, Galaxy or Lasko or something of that nature.
I don't think they ever had ceiling fans, but I was very little when they went out of business, so I really can't say for sure. I can say they didn't have a display like Mongomery Wards or Sears.
Another memory I had is when our Sears still had the fan display, they never took down the old models, just put new ones around them. I remember from a very young age, TOC's, brown "Kitchen Fans", a little Blender fan, and a small brown 1895 Series.

It was very unique, although I can vouch that our Sears' staff is LAZY,you can't get help anywhere in the darn place.

That sounds like ours in the last incarnation of fans, that's when they took down ALL the fans, put up a few new models, then in a small amount of time proceeded to remove the fan and lighting section.
