I found a S.M.C. Laguna in very bad shape. Looks like it's been out in the weather for quite sometime. Canopy was no where in sight. I found this on top of a pile of dirt where they are doing road work....... I don't have time to test it at the moment, So I will update this thread later on today......Adam Link: www.vintageceilingfans.com/founded.html

wow, it sure looks pretty beaten...I like that style of Laguna, with the lower canopy, mind you.

Good thing I sent you those SMC blades awhile back, huh?

Your reading my mind, I was going to post, saying that now I have a fan for your blades. I tested the fan, and it comes on, when plugged in. The pull chain will probably have to be replaced, I haven't looked at it yet, so maybe the chain is stuck inside.......

Did you ever fix it up? It looks like it can be saved, blades aside.

Yes, I did restore it, bearings are kinda noisy, but not real bad. I found this place called Florida Bearings. I'm going to go over there tomorrow and see the bearings and hopefully they have a bearing puller, and also hope it's not costly..
