I just acquired a Litex footprint hugger (white/PB) from a local lighting store. Said fan hung on the ceiling for display and was recently taken down.
Before I digress any further, it's pull chain appeared to have been yanked out...are they easy to replace? I've never replaced a pull-chain unit before.

I pryed the chain unit open with a flathead screwdriver, and that's how I disconnected it.
All I need to do now is go to Lowe's and get the new one...

you need to write down where each of the wires go in the slots

Yes. And Lowes may or may not have the correct pullchain. You may have to talk to Litex.
