I found a fan in the trash next to a building that was being demolished. I Worked on two older fans last year, but life (daughters, Grandkids, school, etc.) pretty much pulled me away. But seeing this old unit got me going again (also my shop is relatively clear).
It's a four bladed "spinner" (I think). The label is not too clear but here goes: SHI CHEN ELECTRIC MFG. WORK CO., LTD Made in Taiwan ROC E 71485 SO Model A-48 Apr 1982
The rest is wiped off.
Any thoughts or ideas. It was "suggested" that all fans have value (at least someone) but is this a fan of note, etc?
Thanks (You all were great help on my earlier units.)

Gentlemen: I'm almost ashamed to still admit I don't know how to add a picture.
Thanks for not broadcasting it.

Do you have a Photobucket or Imageshack account? If you don't make one. Upload the pic using the uploader. Then copy the line of code with the
[img][/img] tags on it and paste it here.

However, it does hang down.

love that fan! looks like the blade arm(s) are bent and/or screws are loose to cause it to droop like that one on the left of the top pic.

Supreme fan? I've seen a ton of these, I dont have one at the moment, but I like them.
But that canopy is unusual. Never seen it before.
This one can be fixed up.

But that canopy is unusual. Never seen it before. Looks very much like a toastmaster bell canopy to me.

I've started the dismantling and one thought: shouldn't there be two wires coming from the motor? I've looked all over, trying find out how spinner motors are wired. No luck. There doesn't seem to be any torn or damaged point on the stator (?) wiring point.
