I am working on hanging my Fasco Home Builder series and I have a few questions.
1) I bought a set of 4 wood blades with the Great Room that I bought and was wondering if they would be to heavy for the motor. They have a fairly steep pitch, but they fit on the motor. If it does run slower, will the pitch make it move a good amount of air still?
2) The canopy/hanger ball kit I bought is a little loose on the downrod (the downrod is a little smaller than the hanger ball). Will this have any bad effect?

1. Blade brackets have pitch, not blades. What are you referring to?
2. I wrap downrods that are slightly smaller with electrical tape to make them fit tight.

Sorry, I meant to say the pitch of the blade brackets that came with the blades.

Can you not use the original brackets?

Didn't he snap one while bending it?

Oops, when I tried to put the brackets on the motor, I found that the holes are just a hair too close together for the brackets to fit. I had to buy motor screws too. Very aggravating.

Motor screws will always come in handy.
It sounds like the brackets are "american spacing" and the motor is "import spacing".

Dan: What do you mean by "american" or "import" spacing. I need to replace brackets and blades for a Moss and am having problems finding accurate spacing of holes.

There are two sets of brackets that are very similar but the motor spacing is just a hair different. Example: Casablanca vs. Ritz. I think the import one is metric.
