Take a look at the newer industrial on Emerson's site: emersonfans.com/catalog_detail.jsp?id=49&item=1. It says it is K55, but if you take a look at this PDF file: emersonfans.com/manuals/hf1160.pdf and browse throuh the pages, it is just an over sized spinner with a large lower canopy. I am thinking about calling Emerson and asking them if they still have the K55 one in stock... (haha I'm evil). Just to let anyone know who would fall for it, don't. It's funny that all the sites that sell this fan don't advertise it as a K55 though... -Sean

Ok, for those of you with slow internet connections, just skip to page 3 and look at figure 1 at the bottom of the page... Spinner. Then figure 2 on the next page (page 4) it shows the fan with the over sized cover. Although I can say, I think it is still the best industrial in the industry, it is pretty sad that they demoted themselves this way.

Last thing to mention is even if you click on the traditional industrial models (HF956BK; HF956W; HF948W) they show them as K55 motors... They either never update their site, like Casablanca, or they want to get customer satisfaction before ordering. With this little bit of research, I have come to this. They aren't getting my satisfaction!

I just seen that motor. It looks very ugly and I'm also disapointed as well. I don't like that at all.

I have seen a few of the K55 ones in person, they kick up more air than a Hunter Original or an older Blender fan.

Yeah, those K55 industrials were really nice, they seemed like a "high tech" blenderfan, because of the aerodynamic blades combined with a bare K55 motor. The new industrial has the Gossamer Wind blades that are also marketed by Hampton Bay (such as the Windward II).
