I ve taken numerous tests in my shop and talked to some people, and decided to upgrade the Homestar with an Intellitouch Pc board and w32 wall control. Would this fix my problems??? can it be done???how difficult? It seems fairly easy, as I disconnected the old Homestar Pc board with 2 simple disconnections, each plug containing 5 or more wires to the motor. Would a Casablanca Pc board connect with this as the Homestar did? I know I must be annoying, but Im trying everything I can to get that fan working properly. Please let me know of any ideas!!! ;D Trevor aka Mr T

You may or may not have to cut off the plug and put a new one on etc. For now DO NOT TOUCH the current plug(s). [shadow=LimeGreen,left,300]Sean[/shadow]

I wont need to replace the orange strap around the motor will I? Its "stuck" around the motor and doesnt seem to have any problems. It got hot due to the circuit board or the wall control.
So its also possible that I would need to manually cut wires and reattach them? Do casablanca circuit boards have plugs? or are they soldered? How would I rearrange wires to make it work?

I can't tell you at this moment, but will be able to when I get my two certain fans in the mail... not naming what they are now, but will when I get pics. Good luck -Sean
