Couple things I noticed while browsing the latest fan offerings on hansenwholesale: The 212mm motor is used by several fan companies now, but the prerequisite seems to be ENORMOUS blades. The ones on MonteCarlo's latest offerings are 10mm thick (that's 1 cm or almost HALF AN INCH!!!) That's on the 54", 60" AND 72" fans. The blades on Emerson's 60" Designer (also with the 212mm motor) look pretty thick too. Think about what they could do with a 212mm motor if they'd stick with NORMAL blades. We see the return of other companies using the K55 (now XL) with the introduction of Tommy Bahama fans. Of course if the fans are anything like the clothes, they'll probably set you back a couple grand lol. The Monte Carlo Airlift features blades that swing out with centrifugal force... but the fan amateur won't notice that it's also the first ceiling fan with more than six blades (this one has EIGHT.) Bet that thing moves a ton of air on low
