Anyone familiar with cold air intake? There's a 2003 GT eclipse I've got my eye on and was wanting to throw in some goodies a little later down the road. Do they really give much improvement to the engine and performance? Can they work on an automatic? (sportronic shifter on the side). I'm not looking to totally street this thing, but I wanna make it a little unique. Thoughts and opinions welcome. Ohhh I can also make another discussion topic while I'm at it! Whats the most common sports cars in your area? We've got loads of mustangs and camaros, firebirds are close behind, tiburons lower, eclipses even lower. I've seen a cavalier that's been completely redone with the body kit and everything...Looks nice, but a cavalier is a cavalier you're still 4 cylinders. I'd also hate to think of how much moneys in that. Same thing with a sunfire that's been lowered and streetafied...uhhaa...lets just say it looks special. Other than that, there's nothing really worth mentioning over here. How bout you guys?

A cold air intake brings in cold air (duh!), and cold air has more oxygen. More oxygen = big burn = powah!. Yes, it can work on an automatic.
