first off, my shop is a interesting situation... its the rear attic of a old bridal shop my girlfriend's mom owns. plenty of space, and as soon as it's cleaned out, i will have a 75X25 shop right now my area is like 20X25. BTW... my camera/phone is acting up tonight... so they're a lil blurry from the stairs, looking towards my shop wall behind my workbench on the side of my bench my bench how many of yall have XM radio in ur shop! bridal dresses on the way to the staircase!

Cool shop, Jay! I like that big red/gold 2-blade whole-house fan. how many of yall have XM radio in ur shop! Well, on account of the fact that I've lost 50% hearing in my right ear and 85% in my left, I don't. To be able to hear it, especially over some of the machines I use, I would have to turn it up so loud that I'd blow out the speakers and/or piss off the neighbors.

actually pierce, that red/gold fan is a "kit fan" i picked up off the side of the road with no motor. but a dayton 3/4 hp cap start motor was laying right next to it in the pile... Lemme explain the kit fan thing... it was a set of templates, a iron shaft mount, 2 pillow blocks, set of pulleys and a blade hub, that was sold through magazines in the 40's and 50's.. you used the templates to build the fan and an old motor u had laying around. usuallly the fan is made of hardwood, and the blades made of hardboard, kinda like what pegboard is made of. well somone changed the blades on this one to like a paneling type material, and when i shoved that big 3/4 hp motor in there, i put some serious pitch on the blades so it would move the air... a bit too much pitch.... when i kicked it on, the blades hit the support... destroying 2... little splinters everywhere.. lol.. Thinking of making a set of blades from hardboard in the shape of some scaled-up GE Vortalex blades... whadaya think?
