I have found four new fans this week putting the total number of fans in my collection to 73.
1. Hampton bay 42'' antique brass hugger (similar to chatham, but with a globe light kit)
2. SMC U42? antique brass hugger with stencil blades
3. 38'' hunter original reversaire antique brass
4. HINT: Something that is brass and 52'' with four cane blades and variable speed, it is something Sean probably wants...

I was thinking about the same thing. So it has to be a Casablanca.

The fan is an old fasco that Dan calls the old south The Old South, as I have been informed, is an ornate 3 speed Fasco. I am not entirely certain what the plain variable speed fan with the same vents is called. It is true that I have been referring to it as well as the Old South. Dan

I have a very old Westinghouse ceiling fan from around the turn of the century from an old hotel. It WORKS! I will post pictures of it on my Webshots.com page. If you are interested in it for your collection, go to community.webshots.com/user/dlbenson9351 I listed it under " A Little Bit - Places and Planes" album. It has 4 wooden blades. The serial number only has 2 letters. It also has a crystal globe attachment.
