A few months ago, I noticed these fans on clearance that looked like they were 100% variants of the Hampton Bay Cameron. It was white 52" with a 4-arm light kit. I'm guessing they were made in the same factory but relabled... That was their only halfway decent fan I've seen in a while... That fan is a cameron II KNOCKOFF!

BTW a local chain of grocery stores has, either (depending on the store) 1. An even spacing of HRC industrials over the produce section, normal length downrods, maybe 6 fans total per store 2. Two white Hunter Originals over the salad bar, on extremely long downrods (I can reach out and touch the fan blades). Two of these stores also have Hunter Originals in the back stockroom, brown, about 20. Is this chain called super fresh by any chance?? There are three super freshes near me. The closest one to me used to have 14 white four blade originals over the registers, two over the salad bar on normal length downrods, and 4 1/2 nutone industrials in the back room. The got rid of all of the originals this year (refer to ceiling fan holocaust thread). Another one that is now closed has 16 white 90's originals over the registers, two over the salad bar on extremely long downrods, two in the bakery, and a bunch of brown ones in the back room. I am going to try to get a few of the originals.

If you dont they'll likely be thrown out or demolished with the buildings. What a waste. Some time I'll walk you through the best way to "solicit" fans from commercial locations.

Some time I'll walk you through the best way to "solicit" fans from commercial locations. I'll need to learn how to do that too, since I hate such places ditching good fans.

Ah, it seems as if wally world has a few of the 2006 models and one of them is an industrial (a Wal-Mart first?). Chances are it's going to be installed in the display very soon.

Does it have a lower canopy? What kind of blades? Bell canopy? This fan has a lower canopy, ball/socket upper canopy, straight blades with rounded ends, and a five speed wall control. Only $35 at my local wal-mart.

Probably Westinghouse or Litex then.

i saw them night before last. Seem to be of decent quality. 5 speed likely means a Transformer Control. I'm Going to buy one, and see what it does. Let me know how it turns out, I might buy some just for the control, and return them

It's Litex, made by the same people as the rest of their fan line. It's similar to the low-end Encon industrial.
I forget how much WalMart's sells for, but I've seen Design House industrials in stores for $25.

What did you think of the industrial? Did you buy one?
