-speed coil/capacitor in terrible shape-falling apart. How will I go about changing it?

What do you mean by "falling apart"? If the speed coil is in such bad shape that it will no longer work, you can go somewhere to get it rewound.

I mean, the paper is coming off like a wet paper towel, and the wires are soonn going to look like a tangled mess if something isnt done... . Where could i go to get it rewound?

Yeah, you could get it rewound. Or, you could find another one that is still good. Have you tried the AFCA board?

Yeah, you could get it rewound. Or, you could find another one that is still good. Have you tried the AFCA board? yes, i think i have found out how to remove it, th eonly problem is rewinding it, though, i think if i can rewrap it, i might be able to salvage it

Dont. Leave it alone, and try recoating the varnish. If the original isnt too far gone underneath, you can save it. You need the Sprayon Red Insulating Varnish.
The more you mess with it, the more likely it will need to be rewound. Leave it alone, and try varnishing it.
R52's dont have capacitors.
