Have you tried Goof Off on your fan? what is goof off? stuff that cleans the stuff off the fans? no,i just use wet cloth(not on back of motor)just on bottom/side of motor where are no holes on it and on blades/blade arms to get the popcorn type ceiling paint off of it.

To the original poster, I would just purchase a set of generic replacement blades and drill holes for them to fit.

Oh, and I use goof-off to remove paint. Be careful it can remove the finish of the fan too if you scrub too hard.
