I bought a house with a Casablanca Zephyr fan controlled by a 3 button Intellitouch control on the wall, Power, Fan and Light. How the heck does thing work??? I can't get the fan to spin without the lights coming on! BTW, I thought the motor was messed up when it would beep 5 times and the blades wouldn't spin, (or just a little). The problem was the wheel where the fans screw onto is a little warped and it would rub on the light housing below! Six years to figure that out.
Thanks for your help.

Did you repair/replace the flywheel? (the warped wheel)

I just loosened up the screw on the flywheel and wiggled it up a little. The controls don't even come close to working like the above instructions. I'll take a look at the wiring and go from there. Thanks for all the feedback.

The blades turn easily now. Current operation: Turning on power only turns lights and fan on, beeping. Pressing lights stops the current fan speed. To turn off, must turn off power switch.
I flipped wires, only lights turned on, no fan.
Kind of messed up.

Actually I think he has a bad wall control. Because both the fan and light work, but only one at a time, depending on how the switch is wired. Seems like only one side of the switch is working. Try a replacement switch.
OR try wiring the fan with a regular on/off wall switch and see how it behaves, and report back.

When I turn the power on the fan and lights both turn on, and the light switch will stop the fan at the desired speed. There's no light brightness control. To turn off I have to switch the power off. These are the only ways to get anything to work.

Is this with a regular on-off switch? if so, your fan is fine, the old control is broken, you just need to buy a new control.
