Got a bunch of unusual finds that I've had on my computer since around March or so, but never had the chance to post them. Some of them need deciphering... First, from Melissa, Texas... there is an old business/shopping center that has three adjacent stores all filled with these Daytons: Next to these stores was one with a Casablanca Classic and an Encon CG with plain brackets: From Waco, a better picture of a previously posted Original knockoff. I'm sure it's Classic, but the pointed blades throw me off: A World's Fair from Garland... the brackets appear to be ridiculously out of alignment: A spinner from a flea market in Garland... Moss? CEC? Toastmaster? Note the small brackets. From Grapevine, a sweet Laguna with cane (even if you're a Laguna hater like me lol). I know the name of the photo is McKinney, but it's in Grapevine. Sue me. An unknown 5-blade GE vent with a THICK motor housing. Note someone has violated the fan by putting one of those so-called "air filters" on the blades. Can anyone figure this one from Grapevine out? It's got GE vents, Craftmade brackets, and older looking points. Finally, this one from McKinney. It's GE vent, but look how rounded the motor housing is (it looks more round in person). One was going pretty slow, another was going faster but had a bent bracket, and a third was going pretty fast. These have "rounded points" which usually indicate Broan/Alaska, but nothing else on the fan says Alaska to me (note the knockoff Original-type canopy). Any ideas?

Wow! Beautiful pics! The first place have a Beautiful ceiling! The setting is the popular kind of setting that was very commune in littles streets shops way back in the 1900-1940(General Stores, Barber shops, Hardware Stores, Ice Creme Shops etc) very cute and nostalgic. The ceiling is also very well painted. Those fluorescent lights are definitely the popular retro 1970-1980 kind that are SO popular is schools. They looks a bit nowhere but still fit well. I would have seen better Schoolhouse fixtures to match the globes on the fans. Those fans are in very good condition and looks perfect in those shops. What is the size on these fans 48'' or 52''? The canopy looks similar to the sky blue 1971 Originals in Magic Kingdom. Is the Encon Crompton Greaves High Breeze 36'' 42'' or 48''? My guess would be 42''. Same question for the brown Original. The housing looks like the housing of a 36'' but the blades span looks like a 42''. Pointed blades on Originals looks great. Those Fasco World Fair are probably RARE to see. Very unusual looking fan. Isn't one of the fan that Dan want/like so much? That SMC Laguna is Gorgeous. I love it! But I don't like that particular canopy on it, I prefer the usual stepped one or even better the ball handing canopy like on the later ones. This Laguna is huge, its it 52''? The spinner from the flea market is also very large. Does those Air Filters that you put at the top of the blades will put more weight one the fan and make them spins at slower RPM? I noticed on this fan bent brackets.

What is the size on these [Daytons] 48'' or 52''? The canopy looks similar to the sky blue 1971 Originals in Magic Kingdom. Your guess is as good as mine. I'd say more than likely 48" given the size of the motor housing, but remember that companies made giant fans back then (58"-60" at times) and thus Dayton may have used this size for 52" fans. Is the Encon Crompton Greaves High Breeze 36'' 42'' or 48''? My guess would be 42''. 48" I believe. They made them as big as 56". Same question for the brown Original. The housing looks like the housing of a 36'' but the blades span looks like a 42''. Pointed blades on Originals looks great. That fan actually isn't an Original at all. It's more than likely a "Classic", which was one of the brands that copied the Hunter Original. That SMC Laguna is Gorgeous. I love it! But I don't like that particular canopy on it, I prefer the usual stepped one or even better the ball handing canopy like on the later ones. This Laguna is huge, its it 52''? The spinner from the flea market is also very large. They made Lagunas as big as 56". I wouldn't doubt that this is one of them. The spinner is either 48" or 52". Does those Air Filters that you put at the top of the blades will put more weight one the fan and make them spins at slower RPM? I noticed on this fan bent brackets. Yes, and IMHO they don't really do anything but create more surface area for dust to collect and put weight on the blades - not to mention that when you take them off it leaves the adhesive behind, ruining the finish on the blade.

The Casa Classic looks really nice, and of course I LOVE the Worlds Fair (can you offer to buy it? ) Those weird GE vent fans at the end, could they be Silkon?
