On my return trip from Georgia, I stopped by two other Habitat stores:
1. Nashville, TN
They had a number of interesting fans, including:
2 Antique White Casablanca Deltas
An Antique White Casablanca Zephyr (variable)
Many Casablanca Four Seasons IIs
A Variable speed brass Codep
A Trade Winds/Old Jacksonville 42" 3 speed, with the plastic housing and builder vents
A Panasonic with GE vents and a HUGE bell canopy, labeled "KDK Tennessee Fan Co"
A couple Evergo huggers including an Emperor and a GE vent model
Most of these fans had EXTREMELY long downrods.
They were all priced from $10-30. I was going to buy the Trade Winds and the Zephyr, making an offer because the Trade Winds needed a new flywheel and the Zephyr was missing the mount and chances are the Slumber Quiet was bad. I was ringing up at the cash register, and they tried to charge me extra for the blades to each fan, even though the blades were not sold separately. Needless to say I was not amused, and did not purchase the fans. Their loss.
My next stop was in Champaign IL. This Habitat has "diplomatic relations" with the Habitat in Madison where I volunteer, so things looked much more promising.
They had a great many fans, and not organized well at all, so it's difficult to list anything. I do remember
An ornate Lasko
Several GE vent Evergo huggers
An Evergo with the wood motor housing
Casablanca Four Seasons II
Newer Hunters like the Vista?
Some verdi green outdoor fan
Two Codep spinners that looked almost idenical to Adam's TAT

But with Moss blades and brackets, antique brass
A Moss Tropical Breese, Antique Brass with cane blades and ornate blade badges, very cool. Unfortunately it was missing the upper AND lower canopy.
There were plenty other fans I'm sure, as I remember I will repost.
They ranged in price from $10-$40 (that I saw)
I bought two: A brass Panama with white blades, and a California Zephyr, also brass, with rosewood blades. I would have bought the Tropical Breeze had it the canopies. It made me sad to leave it behind.
This is my first California Zephyr, and I havent decided whether I am going to keep it or sell it. It is in very good condition, complete minus the control and maybe a screw or two. One of the blades has a small ding, the housing has some small scuffs that will probably clean up to be removed.
The Panama is in ok shape, it is missing the mounting cross bar and switch cap (it had a light kit on it that was UGLY so I left it there) and the brass is fading on the canopy. I might just stick this one on eBay.
Then today, since I'd been gone for almost two weeks, I went to my own local Habitat to see what they had.
1. Two footprint vent fans, 4 blade with cane, one with a close mount canopy, brand unknown
2. A Codep GE vent motor with the pilot lights, made by CEC apparently
3. One of those new Home Depot industrials with the curved blades
I also put out for sale
1. An old 4 blade Hunter Studio Series
2. Several SMC DC42s
3. An SMC Oak motor housing
