Today we take the FanCam back to Lott to redo some of the pictures taken by the old FanCam and try to find a couple more fans. Today's journey also takes us to Cameron (no fans!), Rockdale (one or two), Rosebud (near Lott), and Mart (another desolate town lol.) Anyway, here's what the hunt produced, so enjoy:
First, updated pictures of the 56" Royalaires in Lott. Since it's winter, they were all turned off, so I found one in the back and progressed through the speeds from slowest to fastest to get a more accurate "reading" (since these things take forever to slow down from a higher speed.) Estimates: low 45 RPM, medium 120, high 220 (I previously thought 220/150/75). Another interesting note, these fans don't seem to be reversible; there is nothing in the hole in the motor housing where the reverse switch would go (probably due to the blade design).
Anyway, here are the clearer pics (well, not so much the first one):
Also in an abandoned store were six variable speed GE vent fans. Pretty generic if you ask me - no distinguishing marks on the brackets, etc., but here they are anyway:
In Mart, this Roundnose outside an abandoned shop. Note that the blade pitch is NOT reversed, as was common on this model fan:
From Rockdale, a 4-blade Caribbean Breeze in an old hardware store. There was an unusual fan in the other section (4 brown Caribbean Breeze blades, brass bell canopy, brass motor NOT shaped like Caribbean Breeze), but the lighting was such in the store (which was closed) that I couldn't get a picture of that one. Anyway, here is the Caribbean Breeze. Note in the second picture, the one behind it looks like a 3-blade model - something I didn't notice until I got home.
Finally, from Rosebud, this Codep:
Another Codep (wall controlled) and a Crompton Greaves in the back corner of the same store:
