Welcome to the Vintage Ceiling Fans.com Forums!
We have an impressive forum here with up-to-date information and great photos posted by all our amazing members. That's why we are rated the number 1 fan-related community by Google.
To register to the forums:
1. Click on “Register” on top of the forums home page.
2. Choose your user name.
3. Type in your valid e-mail address.
4. Include your age, gender and location.
5. Read the guidelines and click on the box marked “I Agree”.
6. Click on “Register”.
7. Check your e-mail. You will receive a e-mail from Vintage Ceiling Fan Forums containing a password.
8. Go back to the forums and click on Login on top of the forums home page.
9. Login with your user and the password you received in your Email.
10. Have fun and enjoy!
To change your password after signing up:
1. Click on “Profile” on top of the forums page.
2. Click on “Edit” (you might already be at the edit page).
3. Type your new password in both the “Change Password” and “Verify Changed Password” boxes.
4. Click on “Change Profile” at the bottom of the page.
You may choose to stay logged in at the login page, so you will not have to login each visit.
Messages containing the following will be deleted and may result in further action:
1. Harassment
2. Attacking other members based on race, gender, religion, sexual orientation or forcing your beliefs on these topics on others.
3. Graphic language, including attempts to go around the profanity filters.
4. Links to pornographic material.
5. Your street address or phone number. Send this info through private messages.
6. Links to promote other websites of the same content, and/or advertisements of any kind. This includes watermarked pics containing URL's to competing sites.
7. Attacks on other websites of the same content, or attempting to start "flame wars" with them and/or their users, regardless of why.
8. Resurrecting posts more than two months old without adding new or relevant information to the discussion.
9. Intentionally going against the original topic of a thread, AKA "derailing".
10. Repeatedly going against the requests of administrators/moderators regarding posting habits.
11. Knowingly and/or repeatedly creating new threads with the same subject instead of adding to an existing thread. Use the search feature.
12. Using the tag feature (the @ symbol followed by a user's name) to call another member out publicly for any supposed offense. Please handle problems with other members through PM.
Links to other sites of the same content:
ALLOWED: Links to images which do not contain watermarked advertising
NOT ALLOWED: Direct links to sites which contain the same content, including external forums and threads.
NOT ALLOWED: Attempting to promote, lure members to other competitor sites
The following activities will result in being automatically banned and/or account deleted from the site:
1. Private messaging members to promote other sites containing the same content or any adult or spam related content. We Ask that members report this to the Moderators and Administrators, even if it's a member asking to come join a site. We would need a copy of the message containing such content.
2. Hiding, or attempting to hide, one’s IP address.
3. Creating alternative accounts, or "sock puppets", for the purpose of trolling.
Please observe the following guidelines when posting:
If you have nothing to contribute to ANY existing thread, please don't comment on it. This includes messages such as "This fan is going on medium" or other out-of-context comments that offer no contribution to the subject being discussed.
Childish behavior and all the above will not be tolerated on these forums. We are not a babysitting service. Stupidity will be deleted. Avoid typing in ALL CAPS as that might be interpreted as shouting.
In order to maintain a professional fan related community, please register before making any post. We want you to feel welcome at VCF and eventually get to know each of you. Including your age, gender and location on your profile help us determine a database of collectors.
Decisions for semi-banning and permanent banning are done on a case-by-case basis by all moderators. (See Rule #10 above)
If you as a member of these forums see any remark that you consider offensive, please feel free to contact Adam at vintageceilingfans@hotmail.com or send a private message (PM) to any of the moderators listed at the bottom of each sub-category. The post will be reviewed and either edited or deleted if necessary.

#1 Login at least one time every three days
#2 Who is active posting on the forum, at least a few posts every two weeks
Failing to do so will result in bumping back to member status.. There are many other people who want to moderate and if you don't want to I have other people who would gladly take that position..
