A hugger fan came in at Habitat this week, and although I wasnt interested in it, I havent yet put it out for sale.
Take your average, generic 80s/90s Hugger fan. With the small oval vents, generic blades and brackets, filagree sideband, etc etc. Hampton Bay Chatham comes to mind.
Now remove the vent holes but leave the motor housing exactly the same.
That's right, smooth band of plain brass on the bottom, shaped just like a normal motor housing. Perhaps the precurser to those hideously ugly "modern" hugger fans like the Littleton.
Anyone interested? Is it worthless and uncollectible, or of value to someone here?
I never know when I'm at Habitat, there are so many fans that come through that I dont give a second look to that other collectors may fight over. Let me know what to look for, I see ten or so different fans every week.
