To galleries. This fan has a variable speed pull chain, the whole chain is wrapped around a gear the is connected to a variable speed, so you have to pull each end of the chain for fast to slow....Adam

I have the same exact fan, but mine has polished brass/bright brass blade irons. Is that canopy plastic or metal? Mine is plastic...

Plastic. does yours have a variable speed pull chain? Also this one's motor is just like the Hunter Original. Not a spinner or K-5 Etc.

Very nice, the ones without the cane blades are rare. Is it reversible? And did you paint those blade irons? usually they're brass.

I have a set of cane-less bananafan blades. Same here. More common on the east coast I guess.

Because Brian has his own 'special' language and happens to be too lazy to use the smilies, he uses letters and numbers to represent them.

I have a set of cane-less bananafan blades. All of the non-reversible Bananafans I've seen have had cane blades. I've seen one reversible that had plain blades, it had the variable speed pullchain, I do not know if it was oil-bath.

On one of my Envirofan boxes, a Bananafan is pictured on the logo with no cane. Later version?
