Grocery Stores, eh? I remember one grocery store when I was little that had 2 Emersons (the older Fasco-lookin ones) near the front. One had a light kit, no idea why.
A Sentry near my house had a great many Carroway industrials, I managed to save one when they remodeled, pic in the Yahoo group.
A Kohls Grocery right by the Sentry had 10 Envirofans (c1980) which I removed when they tore it down. I believe I still have 5 or 6 of them.
A IGA store yet in the same area had close to 20 old con-techs, with the 3 rings on the motor.
I rememebr a grocery store with Nutone 4-bladed industrials
I'm trying to remember any grocery stores with cool non-industrial fans, and, other than the Emersons, I'm drawing a blank. Cubs and Supersavers had generic industrals, Woodmans and Ken Kopps and the old Mills/Millers/? store didnt have any fans, the bastards.
But no, I cant seem to remember any other grocery stores with non-industrial fans. In fact most of the cool fans I remember seeing when young were in restaurants, primarily fast food ones.

I saw an antique brass version of that Toastmaster fan in a local church in my area. Actually, there were 2 of them in the rear of the sanctuary, and in the front were 2 of the Moss 5-bladed series...The only places that I can recall seeing the most interesting fans in my area were either churches or former churches.

Most churches I've seen have had Emerson Blenderfans; 3 blade no switch housing.
