For your enjoyment, I've added a few drawings of "concept fans" I've secretly been working on for several years to the Yahoo group: 4blade1 and 5blade1: An update on the early 80's Emerson/Fasco styling, with "standard mount" blades. Vortex: 48" and 54" fans with powerful motors and transitional deesign. Signature: 52" 5-speed fans, the strongest fans of the lot. Signature 2 is the "updated style" of the signature (although it is the first fan I ever concocted). Modeled after the 90's Verandah. Regal: High-end 6-blade fans, inspired by the body styles of newer sport compact cars. Fasco1 and Fasco2: Fasco2 is a direct update on the Parlour Fan; Fasco1 is a Parlour Fan with a bit of a makeover. Ornate: Various yet-unnamed ornate fans. The third one uses a bracket I saw on Ebay last year (anyone recognize them?) The fourth one, especially the brackets, is based on a set of custom wheels I saw last year. New Blenders: Modern updates on the Blender Fan (although you can basically do the same thing with most palm leaf fans now) Cyclone: A wicked cross between a Hunter Infiniti and a friction drive Emerson, two of the ugliest fans known to man IMHO, with a 17 degree blade pitch and a better faceplat Tuerk Repro: A modern update on the Tuerk, with updated brackets and switch housing, and a 3-speed system with Vari-Low. I need to get out of the house :-D

Oh, and I left the group open in case any of the users have their own concept fans to post...

Damn you got some talent boy! Boy? he's older than you old man. But those drawings are really nice. I quite like a lot of them. I used to draw fans as well, sitting in school with nothing better to do (listen to teachers? ha!) most of what I drew were variations on Taras, Envirofans, and Emersons/Fascos. I wish I could find some of those old sketches, they were way better than the quick Tara sketch I posted.
