Nice fan . . I've been told it has a K55-style motor and flywheel, is that true? Looks more spinner-ish to me.

Panasonic still makes ceiling fans, just not in America. They have three models that they offer to Asians. It's a 4-metal-blade industrial, with 4-speed wall control and (I think) a switch housing. Comes in red, green, and white.
I found it by doing a Google image search for "ceiling fan" and up came Panasonic's website for some country in Asia.

They are not Panasonic but National, i posted that information a while back. In Asia the local Panasonic companies are named "National/Panasonic" That's why the search came back with ceiling fans under Panasonic.
Panasonic never manufacture any decorative ceiling fans., the industrial type and portable ones were all made by M-a-t-s-u-s-h-i-t-a Seiko Co. {sorry, had to do that to prevent the forum's software from spelling the PG version.}
