Actually, I think the Studio Series' should be AB. They look the best in that color, IMO. It's not an Original switch housing. Simply and older style that Hunter used. You should re-stain the blades instead.

DONT paint it.
Clean and polish the brass, it will look near new. Try some Old English on the blades.

Yeah, the oldest Low Profiles had those small switch housings as well.

You wouldnt need a stain, you can restore the original finish.
