I found this fan today in the trash, it looks like its probably another Crest, although its got one of those huge flat upper canopies. i like the stencling on the blades too. i tried cleaning it as best as i could, no name lable could be found anywhere though and there was no bracket either. where would i find a bracket like that anyway? heres a pic:

How big is it? I see you flipped the blades over. I hate how people just paint right around a fan's canopy. It's so stupid, they let the paint drip everywhere.

Yeah i know it looks terrible, it looks as if its probably a 38 inch or so, its pretty small. i tried cleaning the whole thing as best as i could but ill try scraping some of the paint off too.

Looks like your basic Crest to me. Does the label give any clues (at least what's not covered up by paint)?

I think that is a Crest Fan. Because I've seen one just like it in the vintage ceiling fan gallery in the group.

That's definately a Crest floral fan. It looks like it may be missing the screening that went behind the vent holes. Does it run? Looks like there was a light kit installed on it. That is a close mount Palm-aire type canopy.

Hicks says these were made for Gulf Coast, or something like that.

i havent ran electric to it yet, it looks as it probably does work still, and the bearings glide fine too. i have the light kit for it, its just a basic single bulb big ball light fixture
