Found this at a local indoor flea market:
-- 52" 4-blade antique brass motor, no blades or blade irons or canopy --
DESCRIPTION:
* Has a spinner motor, style reminiscent of an older Ritz
* GE vents, but also ornate filigree (like a Casablanca Victorian crossed with a Casablanca Zephyr)
* Pull-chain
* Switch on side of switch cup, identical to a reverse switch, but marked "REMOTE" and "MANUAL"
* No actual reverse switch
* No switch cap
* 1970's style PC board inside switch cup, spans entire diameter of switch cup (so I couldn't see what else was in there)
* Gold sticker on top of housing says that it's made in Asia. Gives a model number and power stats (AC, 120v, 60HZ, etc.), but no indication of manufacturer
Any ideas? The Remote/Manual switch is something I've never seen or heard of before. Weird.

Pictures would be helpful.

Evergo made an ornate GE vent faceplate - the brackets also had the filigree on them.

It's a remote controlled fan that can also be controlled by the pullchain. "Manual" is the pullchain. Probably only one speed and direction.
My guess is Evergo, due to the faceplate, green motor, and the fact they did make remote fans in later years (I have a spare remote).

Pictures would be helpful. What a radical idea. I really want to go back and get the darn thing, but my car is in the shop and I'm not about to carry a 25lb. motor home (two miles). The old lady who runs the shop is violently unfriendly, so I'm not about to ask to take pictures...I like having my head attached. I will try to describe the switch housing a bit better though: it was your basic builder-fan switch housing. It had no stepping, the way an Original does. I don't know what all was in the housing, because there was a circular PC board which spanned the entire diameter of the housing--it was at the bottom, obscuring the view of whatever was inside. The PC board itself was 1970's style, in terms of color (peach) and the size of the electronic components on it. One thing I do remember was that there was a transparent (see-thru with a brownish-color tint) piece of plastic over the PC board--it was the very last thing inside the switch housing. There should have been a metal switch cap over it...but alas, it was missing. I'm still stuck on the Manual/Remote switch. It was the exact same as your regular old reverse switch--black plastic toggle thingy. But it had one label at each end, "MANUAL" and "REMOTE". Just seems really weird to me. It's an anomaly. Seeing as how no one, on either forum, has cried "Oh, I've seen a fan with that switch before! I know exactly what that is!", I'm guessing that this thing is rare.

My guess is Evergo, due to the...green motor... The motor wasn't green. It was orange-ish-brown-ish, like this one that you posted in another thread: When I described the motor as being Ritz-esque, I was referring to the shape, size, and weight of it. Are you still thinking Evergo, knowing now that the motor is puke-yams color?

I also have agree that fan is most likely an Evergo.

Possibly also Winco.
I already told you about the remote/manual switch. I've seen plenty of fans with them.
