Anyone know what it is? It's made in Hong Kong, has a Nutone canopy, gold motor shaped like Evergo crossed with Ritz, 3 speed pullchain with NO OFF, on-off pullchain, reverse switch. Very powerful. I'll get better pictures as soon as I get my camera back. Anyone want it? Otherwise it gets parted out.

Wait a minute, I think that looks very much like those fans that got removed from the local dry cleaner...canopy and all. I posted about them in another thread.

BTW it's not a 42" fan, probably 52". And the canopy is much larger than the canopies you mention in that other thread.

Well someone can take it, offer me something, I wont ask for much. Or I'll take a few useful parts off it and someone can have the rest of it for free.

There's a better picture up on the good old ToView. Page 16.

The retaining assembly is the same as my old 50" 6 blade Tyeb (down to the HK sticker). The canopy and the controls are completely different.

I've never seen a ring exactly like that before. I was hoping it would fit a Tara but it does not. Maybe if I drilled some holes.

Bringing this one back up to the top, as I found one a while back (not sure if I posted about it or not) exactly the same as this one, down to the canopy - it was a 48" with the length taken off the blades (as opposed to say a Four Seasons or an Old Jack where they just use shorter brackets). The motor core appeared to be spray-painted gold. Mine also had two pullchains, but the speeds were shot so I don't know if the speed pullchain was three speeds plus off or four speeds. I got vibration on all four positions, but you'll get vibration on some fans like this even when their speed controls are set to "off" (for example, a solid state control clicked to off, but pullchain on - this gave me a vibration on a fan I picked up on Monday.)
Having had one of these in my hands, I'm now almost 100 percent certain that this one's a Tyeb, especially judging from the monstrous capacitors in there. Take a look at the posting I made a couple of hours ago on how they work.
By the way, who owns it now? Dan?
