I just got a better look at the AB GE vent fan in my neighbors house and it looks older than I thought. I noticed it has a thick motor housing and a solid sideband. The finish is also more of a goldish color. I don't know how many blades it has 4 or 5.
I thought the fan was circa 1992, but with such a thick housing, I think it is older. What do you think it may be?
Also, in the kitchen is another GE vent fan in white with spotlights, but it appears to be thinner...

How would we have a clue, without a picture or some solid details?

I think I figured it out. I went over there the other day, she wanted to show me something they were working on in the master bedroom. I had never been in there before, and it has AB Fasco Charlestons! There's one over the bed and one in the bathroom. The one over the bed had spotlights. I think they were ball and socket.
Anyway, I think it is safe to assume that there 'GE vent fans' are Fasco Spartans, given that they were installed about the same time as the Charlestons.
Sorry I didn't take any pictures, but it would seem a bit odd to be taking pics in a neighbors house? lol
Pretty cool though that the Charlestons were there, I had never seen any around here...and to think there are some just 3 houses down!

Both are Fasco, even though one has a thinner housing?

No, actually they both have the same thickness housing. I'm pretty sure they are Fascos though.
I also believe now that the white outdoor fans with blue cloth blades that were thrown out were Fasco as well. I remember now that we had a Fasco store and they had Fasco ceiling fans and I remember it having a white and blue outdoor fan. I wish I had pictures of that display...
The store closed long ago...

Ok I thought you said one was thinner.
Fasco made American Spirits with sailcloth blades, I forget what they called them.
