Have any of you ever seen or remember the video "take on me" from Ah Ha?? if you've seen the video for it, you may have noticed theres a quick glimpse of an industrial fan, the video is back from 1985, i had the video on my computer and took a stillshot from the video as best as i could, can any of you recognize it? its obviously a three blade.

yeah the canopy looks kinda wierd, too bad they diddnt get a full shot of it, i still think its pretty cool to see a fan like this on tv, let alone a music video from back then.

There are a handful of threads in the main forums discussing fans we've seen in commercials, on TV, and in movies. There have been some cool ones. Which reminds me . . .

I remember the video and the fan. That might be an overseas fan. I'm not 100% sure if the video was shot in the US or UK. I think they were a group from the UK like the Pet Shop Boys. That song is defiantly a one hit wonder.

That would make sense. SMCs are and were very popular in the UK, however they are slightly different from the American versions.

geuss that could explain why the canopy is different, and is it just me or does the motor seem a little thicker then the american SMCs?

It's possible. I dont have a picture of an older 56" side-by-side to compare. it's definitely thinker than that of Adam's 48".
