back in 1993, I bought this neat looking ceiling fan at a thrift shop, the fan had to be from the late 70's and early 1980's it had a victorian look, not casablanca. It did not have a fly wheel. This was the one and only ceiling I ever saw. Another thing that was weird, the pull chain would turn the fan forward and reverse, and the variable speed control was were you turned the fan on and off....Any one seen or had ceiling fan like that. if so do you remember the make and model.....Adam

Was it really heavy? Did it have a bell canopy? Was the motor itself a sort of green color? Sounds like a Ritz fan I've seen before, although Ritz wasnt the only company that made fans pullchain reversible, it's the only company I can think of at the moment Only thing is,your variable speed control was broken. You were supposed to be able to turn the fan off from the chain, not the control. Unless of course the control clicked off and then I am wrong. Dan

Yes it was real heavy, the motor I believe was a real dark red color or maybe it could have been dark green, I can't remember 100%, I don't remember what the canopy looked like. The variable speed control worked. the blade brakets were a leaf shape....Now that I remember I think the pull chain had a off position, but I know the variable speed had a position were you turned it all the way to the left it would click to turn off.......Adam

Oddly enough I've seen that on a couple of SMC Laguna-type fans. They looked almost exactly like your 56".

Why do you assume it's a Codep? For the record, I seen the same fan labeled as both Ritz, Moss, and Codep (well three of the same fan, you get the idea). But that was a hugger. IT PROBILY IS A CODEP. I DON'T KNOW THE MODEL NAME.

I think it's a TAT. Try this website:www.tat.com.hk I think it's a "Flower Fan" but i'm not sure to tell you the truth.

IT PROBILY IS A CODEP. I DON'T KNOW THE MODEL NAME. Why do you assume it's a Codep . . . I think it's a TAT. Try this website:www.tat.com.hk I think it's a "Flower Fan" but i'm not sure to tell you the truth. Ok, do you see a problem with this picture? Again, you're providing bogus information by taking wild uninformed guesses, and then changing them drastically when confronted. This makes it More Difficult for all of us to properly identify fans. And for the record, if it was the "Flower Fan" dont you think Adam would have mentioned the floral design? For the record, that fan on the Tat website is a cool fan if you dont have a problem with flowers.
