I bought a house that has, what looks like, an original 22427 but it only has the reverse switch and no speed switch. I'd like to wire in a 3 speed switch. Does anyone have a wiring diagram to add a speed switch to the fan? I'm not sure if it's a 3 or 4 wire switch so switch part number or link to where I can find it would also be appreciated. Here's a pic of the wiring I have available to me. It looks like the fan came without the speed control switch so I'm not sure if the wiring is there for it to be done.

Looks like have it wired to straight high so you can use a wall control.

@obi-wan canopy
Thanks for the quick reply. The fan is wired to a 2 prong plug that is plugged into an outlet. I currently have it plugged into a wireless controller that will turn it on and off but I would like to be able to reduce the speed.
You are correct. The fan only operates at high.
Can I wire in a 4 speed controller(Off/Low/Med/High) and if so is there a wiring diagram I can follow to do that?

I have a plug in fan speed controller. Instead of wiring in a speed control switch can I run the fan on the speed controller?

Depends on the controller. Short answer is, yes.
