I have noticed something unusual on some spinner ceiling fans Some ceiling fans have a stator with space for 14 poles for instance, but only have 7 coils. This is mostly done in the inner winding. They are referred to as 14/7 or 14+7 pole. Does it affect the speed of the fan? The "usual" stator type, with all coils close to each other: The stator type which I was referring to as "unusual" Thanks in advance

it is normal, as from my understanding, the performance is exactly the same
what makes the fan have more power is having the inner coil as close as possible to the outer coil, ive seen some old fans have them overlap in a unique way
double coils (14 in this stator's case) has one coil wound clockwise and the other one counter clockwise, single coils (the 7) has all the coils wound in the same direction, either clockwise or counter clockwise
