Today I managed to acquire 2 more ceiling fans: Relite Rapide MKII 1200mm!!! At last! They were advertised on Facebook Marketplace for 25 Euro Each. There are still 5 more left along with 1 S&P 800 or 900 mm which didn't interest me
They are both in good condition apart from some minor scratches and stains.
I assembled one as usual for testing in the laundry room, and it is really fast, using a 2.25uF capacitor, just like the large 1400mm.

The S&P is the HTS model, 900mm.
Thank you for the info on the switch. However, I have actually found 5 good switches recently. 2 of them are called VAM, made in Taiwan, from the same shop who sells the S&P fans, and in the past the Relites. They have 4 speeds, and indeed make the fans work silently. One is currently used for the Crompton Riviera 900mm, and the other one for the Relite Rapide MKII 900mm no. 1. Then I have an unused one, which was originally for the Venti fan, and another unused one for a brandless Taiwanese fan, with 4 speedss, and a big transformer-based control. Ffinally I got the original Relite Rapide MKII switch, which still uses a triac like a dimmer, but the fan tends to make less humming noises on the Relite Rapide MKII, and in the original location, with the British Relite (a.k.a. Airmaster), no humming sounds seem to be heard! I believe it is the coil near the triac which silences the humming...
