I recently planned to buy a ceiling fan for my parents on Amazon, but since they are old, they may not be very good at installing it themselves, so I would like to ask if the installation process is easy? Oh, I forgot to say. I am going to buy a 48 or 52inch ceiling fans. Like this one: Do I need to hire another person to help install it? I've seen some reviews saying that it's easy to have problems setting up the remote. So I want to ask you what is the biggest problem you encounter when installing and using ceiling fans? Can you solve it yourself? Thanks

I have a fan hobby, like most of us on here. In other words, I am just your average fan collector.

Typically the most annoying part is the remote and receiver. They need to make sure the dipswitches on both are set the same way. Then the other main issue is getting all of the wires tucked up inside the canopy. It usually takes some working with but you get there in the end. These days, basic ceiling fans are fairly simple to install and most assembly can be done before the fan hits the ceiling.
